Minister for Disability Services visit
The Minister for Disability Services, the Hon. John Ajaka visited Coastlink Cottage on Thursday 17 February. Our northern Central Coast day services currently operate out of the cottage, which backs onto our respite cottage where we provide weekend, overnight and longer respite opportunities for Coastlink and brokerage clients. The Minister met with the CEO, Chair, Management and staff, and mingled with the our Teen Time clients; even getting in a game of table tennis with one of the clients. The Minister discussed Coastlink and how we are preparing for transition to the NDIS commencing July this year. We had the opportunity to brag about the exceptional activities we offer our clients such as swimming, dancing, theatre, sailing and much more. We also had the opportunity to show pictures of our day centre in Woy Woy which has undergone a wonderful facelift thanks to State Government funding and top up funding from Coastlink and the Woy Woy South Progress Association.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all
It is hard to believe that another year has come and gone, but what an exciting time it has been for Coastlink.
This year saw Coastlink celebrate 30 years of service on the Central Coast…and we celebrated in style with a gala ball in October. The night was a complete success with our clients and staff still talking about what a wonderful time they had.
The celebrations continued when Coastlink unveiled a new brand to highlight our commitment to the new opportunities being presented by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
In July next year the NDIS will commence transitioning on the Central Coast. The NDIS will give people with disability greater choice and control over their lives. Coastlink is excited about the opportunities the NDIS will provide our clients and their families and carers. Our emphasis is on each individual person and the choices they make. They can choose the lifestyle they want to live, and the level of support they want to live their life.
Our Chair (John Mouland) and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients, their families and carers, and our amazing staff for your support throughout 2015. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. Take care, enjoy the holiday period and we will see you all next year.

Coastlink celebrates 30 years and rebrands for the future!
To mark its 30th anniversary, Central Coast respite and community care provider Coastlink will unveil a new brand to highlight the transformation of the charity under the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
NDIS (The National Disability Insurance Scheme) will revolutionise the way people with a disability, their families and carers are supported in Australia. It’s a radical new way of funding disability services and supports in Australia.
By realising the change in the market Coastlink have seen the NDIS as an opportunity to engage with individual clients and their careers. Coastlink emphasis is on each individual person and the choices they make. They can choose the lifestyle they want to live, and the level of support they want to live their life.
John Mouland Coastlink Chair today commented:
“Coastlink has provided services and care to people on the Central Coast for over 30 years and we have enjoyed solid growth in services and reputation. With the industry changing we’re adapting to ensure we are in the front line to help individuals and their families in a new landscape.
The Coastlink rebrand is part of a strategic move to revitalise a mature and successful brand into a dynamic not for profit organisation. To celebrate this significant milestone, we are unveiling a new look for 2015 and beyond, to be launched to Coastlink staff and significant stakeholders, in a celebration on Friday 30th October. And we’ll do it again on Saturday 31st at our ‘Look how far we’ve come’ 30 year Anniversary Gala Ball”.
